GSA Schedule Contract
Suwanee, Georgia – April 17, 2009 Chuck Harris, president of Harris Medical
Associates, LLC announced that Harris Medical has been awarded a multi year
Federal Supply Schedule Contract. The schedule contract is to provide staffing
services under schedule number 621 I for Professional and Allied Staffing Services.
The contract period is from September 15, 2008 – September 14, 2013.
“We are excited about the opportunity we have to provide staffing services
for the federal government under this contract. The contract terms parallel
the successes we have had in the commercial sector and are a very natural extension
of our primary services of providing locum tenens” Harris further states “
moving into the government sector for staffing is a key and integral part of
our companies planned growth.
Harris Medical has employed Mark Stinnett as Vice President of Government
Services to secure and manage the GSA Schedule Contract. Stinnett has over
19 years of health care staffing experience with 9 of those years directly
engaged in the procurement, staffing and management of government contracts
across the US. “As a qualified Small Business, I am excited about the opportunity
we have. Through the Federal Supply Schedule Contract we will be able to offer
a greater diversity of staffing opportunities to our providers.”
Harris Medical will also qualify to contract for various unrestricted and
small business set aside opportunities offered by the federal government for
health care staffing. “Harris Medical is ready to take the lead as a prime
contractor on many of the small business set aside requirements issued by the
Department of Defense and VA Health Care System”, adds Stinnett. “Our ability
to perform on a contract as the sole contractor or with a Teaming Partner strengthens
our ability to sustain our growth and hit future goals”.
